I created my first full romance book with BookNova AI — based on my real-life story, characters and experiences.
👉 Try BookNova AI: https://yb.digital/go/booknova
In this video, I go through the final formatting and customization before publishing. I choose the 5×8 romance format, generate an AI book cover, customize the typography, back-cover blurb, author bio, copyright page and AI disclosure, then generate the final book files.
The final result is a 138-page book, generated with AI and ready to be prepared for Amazon KDP. I also compare the information generated by BookNova with what ChatGPT suggests when it already has the full context of my story and characters.
This is more than just an AI writing experiment — I'm actually turning the project into a real book series.
In the next step, I'll take the finished book toward publication and build the sales page.

created a whole book using booknova
0:03
artificial intelligence and it was so
0:06
easy. Now let's format the book. Let's
0:09
go deeper into the customization we can
0:12
use for our book. So the book generation
0:15
took a few minutes actually less than 10
0:18
minutes and now to customize it further
0:22
we have first of all to tell them where
0:24
will we publish these books because it
0:26
depends what will be necessary next. So
0:28
do we publish on Amazon KDP? Do we
0:31
publish on other platforms? Do we use
0:33
for personal only? In that case, we
0:36
don't need much. We just need a cover
0:37
and to generate the PDF. In my case, I
0:40
will publish on Amazon KDP
0:43
uh only as an ebook for now. We'll see
0:46
about paperback later. But then we need
0:49
a title page. We need a copyright page.
0:52
We need a back cover blurb. And we need
0:54
an ISBN slot to identify the book. And
0:58
we need to select a size. So we have
1:02
different sizes and depending on where
1:05
we publish we can choose different uh
1:07
sizes. Well not they are the same but
1:11
the print format will be crucial for the
1:14
PDF generated and the EUB. Epub is the
1:17
ebook uh file format. So we can use 6
1:21
by9 the universal standard which is good
1:24
for fiction, fantasy, sci-fi, thriller,
1:26
self-help, business. It's the best
1:28
format at the moment. It's also 152x 229
1:33
mm. We can use the five by 8 romance
1:36
standard. This is what I will do here
1:39
because I am creating a romance. So it's
1:42
mostly used for romance, dark romance,
1:44
and novelas. The signature size, we can
1:46
also use the A5 European standard.
1:50
uh German, Austrian and Swiss trade
1:52
format and what most print shops expect.
1:56
So here I will use the Roman standard.
1:58
But as we did previously, I will still
2:00
just ask uh chat GPT what it thinks just
2:04
to confirm
2:07
what I should use and let's see if it
2:10
agrees with me that I should use the
2:12
romance specific
2:15
specific format because again in Chad
2:17
GBT I have the whole history backstory
2:20
about my book about my characters and it
2:23
creating the
2:27
uh all the information I need to then
2:29
generate my book to put all the context
2:32
into the right format. Exactly. We need
2:35
to use the Romans standard. That's
2:38
perfect. And it even explains us why.
2:41
All right. So, we chose already the
2:43
Romans standard. Now, we can design our
2:46
cover.
2:48
So, we can generate a cover with
2:50
artificial intelligence within the tool
2:52
in seconds. We don't need to go to
2:54
another tool. Everything is included in
2:58
book Nova link is in the description uh
3:01
yb.digitalbook
3:05
or we can pick an existing template and
3:07
just tweak the test the text. So we have
3:10
already our working book title which is
3:12
uh between us somewhere we have already
3:14
the author name I gave it earlier in the
3:18
book generation process. Now we can also
3:22
give it a subtitle
3:24
um or a series book number. So this
3:27
actually we want because it will be a
3:30
series and we need an name K. So much
3:35
the Jean style all caps as typed or
3:37
lower case. So here the author let's say
3:40
we will keep Michelle.pinson but again I
3:42
will ask Chad GPT to validate this. So
3:46
let's go and ask again chpd. So chpd
3:51
helps us to fill in everything necessary
3:55
because I spent a lot of time giving
3:57
giving it context. Um
4:01
all right subtitle Michelle Pinson
4:04
story. Now one question why use this
4:06
name and not use the handle that can
4:08
then be used to find directly the
4:10
related Instagram the related Tik Tok
4:13
accounts that are backing up the story.
4:15
I will ask this to chat GPT. Why
4:18
username Michelle Pinson and not the
4:22
handle that directly
4:25
uh works on social media?
4:29
Just a question. Maybe it is better like
4:32
this.
4:36
Okay. So Michel Pinson like the
4:38
character's personal name and
4:39
traditional author name. Um
4:43
okay. So if the objective is brand
4:46
continuity and social media
4:47
discoverability then it would change to
4:48
Michelle.pinson. Okay. But I don't like
4:51
it because we don't really know. But it
4:53
means
4:55
it means uh a social uh social but okay
4:59
let's put Michelle.pincson. Let's see if
5:01
it works. It seems to work now. It gave
5:04
us a subtitle. A Michelle Pson story.
5:06
That's fine. series and book number
5:09
Michelle Pson book one and author case
5:13
as typed title case. All right. Now we
5:17
can generate the book cover. So here we
5:20
have several options. We can generate
5:22
with AI by describing what we want and
5:25
letting the AI creating the book cover.
5:28
We can upload our own if we design it
5:30
elsewhere or you can use a template and
5:34
they have plenty of templates available
5:37
to choose from. Just need some time to
5:40
load with my slow connection. It takes
5:43
some time. All right. But here we will
5:45
generate with AI
5:48
and um what we will do we will select
5:52
the visual style and again I will ask
5:56
uh I will ask
5:59
Chad GPT to answer this for me. So each
6:03
book cover generation cost some credits
6:06
of course should be aware of that. All
6:09
right. Now, visual style, photo,
6:11
realistic. That's good. Title,
6:13
lettering, elegant, high contrast,
6:16
serif. Mood, romantic.
6:21
Color palette, we want the sunset.
6:25
Uh, people on the cover, we want uh
6:28
Michelle Pinson and Nadia.
6:32
And then we should give it a custom
6:34
prompt.
6:37
So here we can use it here.
6:41
All right. Advanced. We did not have any
6:46
advanced settings. So here we can
6:48
override the prompt and change it. We
6:52
can also upload some pictures.
6:56
Um so let's do it. This is the front
7:00
cover for Kindle ebook but not for
7:03
paperback. All right. Let's try to
7:06
generate a first cover. So this is AI
7:10
generated. The text is not editable and
7:12
each generation cost credit. That's
7:14
fine. And let's check the tip. Write the
7:18
final title and author name into the
7:20
cover text fields above before
7:21
generating. That's what will appear on
7:23
the artwork artwork. Okay, got it. Let's
7:26
generate. It is generating. Usually, it
7:29
only takes a few seconds to generate a
7:33
book cover. So, let's see how fast it
7:37
is. Today, we gave all our instructions.
7:40
I'm just afraid maybe because Chipd also
7:43
put in the prompt to write some text.
7:45
Maybe the text will appear twice. No, it
7:47
won't. Oh, wow. This is beautiful.
7:50
Actually, between us somewhere, Michelle
7:53
Pinson story, we have our subtitle on
7:55
top. Here we have the author name. Okay,
7:58
the characters are whoever they are. It
8:01
doesn't really matter because I did give
8:04
a picture of myself to the character
8:06
Michel Pinson. And here it's another
8:09
picture, but that's fine. Let's not stop
8:11
there. Of course, you can um you can
8:15
then regenerate. You can do better. And
8:18
uh all right. So now we have our book
8:20
cover. Next step is to choose our fonts
8:24
and size to control the printed interior
8:26
text. Uh again I will ask JPT what's
8:31
better for my book to keep the
8:34
consistency
8:37
as it knows again the whole context.
8:40
Body font Laura. Of course you can
8:43
select everything yourself. Default
8:46
Laura body size standard 11
8:50
line spacing normal paragraphs indented
8:54
text alignment justified table of
8:56
contents none
8:59
why uh no table of content
9:03
I don't know but okay let's follow what
9:06
GPT uh tells us we are trying to
9:08
generate this full book by AI so just
9:11
the context is based on one real story
9:15
But everything else is AI generated. The
9:18
page header should be book chapter
9:22
chapter headings should be number only
9:26
dashes space and dash. All right. Then a
9:30
back cover which is required for KDP for
9:33
uh Amazon paperback. This is what
9:36
readers see when they pick up the book.
9:38
Uh first step I will not publish it as a
9:40
paperback but anyway I will uh I will do
9:43
all that. Uh now we need we need a few
9:48
more information and let's see what JP
9:51
tells us. So we need the book blur
9:55
description three to five short
9:57
paragraphs. The hook on Amazon's product
9:58
page comes from here. It can also
10:01
autogenerate. So let's try maybe to
10:03
generate it with this AI and we can see
10:07
it fills the the back cover perfectly
10:11
actually. It's pretty good just compared
10:13
to what um we are given here. Uh so of
10:20
course it's totally different. Okay. So
10:23
here I have the choice. I can use uh
10:26
what was uh what was proposed by the
10:29
tool by booknova or I can use what gave
10:33
me uh gave me. I will keep what booka
10:37
gave me because uh book noa is optimized
10:40
for book generation and chbt not really
10:43
now let's see the author bio he would
10:46
not invent a conventional author
10:48
biography for Michelle since it's alo
10:50
social media persona make the bure
10:51
reinfor the character brand Michelle
10:53
Pinsang is a French international
10:55
consultant traveler and storyteller
10:56
whose life is shaped by airports
10:59
unfamiliar cities and unexpected
11:00
encounters through his stories he
11:03
explores modern relationships,
11:05
attraction, freedom, and the beautiful
11:07
complications of being human.
11:11
All right, why not? Let's uh see now
11:14
what um here bookn Nova will generate
11:17
because Booknova does not know my
11:19
context. Probably here I will reuse what
11:22
chat GPT gave me. Michelle Pinson
11:25
evocative pros delves into the unspoken
11:27
currents that shape our lives and
11:28
relationships with a keen eye for the
11:30
human heart. pinson craft stories that
11:32
resonate long after the final page in
11:34
stern. I don't like that. So here I will
11:36
use what chat GPT provided.
11:40
But now unfortunately
11:42
um this bio is too long. Uh and as we
11:48
can see here on the on the preview then
11:51
the blur description is too long as
11:54
well. So this is all too much. I have to
11:57
find what to do. So I will ask Chad GPT
11:59
to make a shorter bio. This is far too
12:04
long.
12:08
Okay. Now it's only one two sentences.
12:11
Is it better?
12:14
Yes. And now it is better. It is
12:16
fitting. Then for the ISBN, the book
12:19
identification number, we will use the
12:22
free KDP ISBN. It will be assigned. The
12:25
barcode will be assigned. uh to the book
12:28
when we upload the book on Amazon.
12:31
Also,
12:33
um we can print the ISBN. Yes, we want
12:37
to print it on the back. We can choose
12:39
the primary J tag. It is romance and uh
12:43
back cover layout. Keep it clean. That's
12:46
fine. We are done with the back cover.
12:48
We have a very nice back cover. Next,
12:51
copyright and front matter. the
12:53
copyright page that prints just inside
12:56
the cover. Amazon expects one on every
12:58
book. For a private book, it is
13:00
optional. So here, of course, we want a
13:02
copyright page. Author name
13:05
Michel.pinson copyright year 2026
13:10
uh independently published first edition
13:13
and fiction disclaimer include the
13:15
standard fiction disclaimer. names,
13:17
characters, businesses, places, events,
13:18
locals, and incidents are either
13:20
products of the author's imagination or
13:23
used in a fiction manner. Yes, that's
13:25
the case. Then we need to disclose AI. A
13:29
Amazon KDP requires authors to declare
13:32
AI assisted content during upload
13:34
including a short note on the copyright
13:36
page is best practice. So here we can
13:40
choose between recommended auto.
13:41
Portions of this book were created with
13:44
the assistant of generative AI tools
13:46
which is the case. We can use our custom
13:48
wording or make no disclosure. But here
13:52
the book was totally generated by AI. So
13:54
we will leave this recommended auto
13:58
u auto AI disclosure. And then we can go
14:01
even further. We can do a dedication for
14:03
example to my mother to whoever. So we
14:06
can dedicate the creation the book to
14:10
anyone we want. And we can also add
14:12
acknowledgements to anyone we want. We
14:15
can also uh need um we can add an about
14:19
the author version. So here maybe I will
14:22
do that
14:24
because I have uh I have context for
14:28
that. So why not add it
14:31
actually proposed to put more details.
14:35
So here this is nice. Michelle. Ppinson
14:37
is a French international consultant,
14:38
traveler, and storyteller whose life has
14:40
taken him across countries, cultures,
14:42
and countless unexpected encounters.
14:45
Always curious about people and places.
14:47
He draws inspiration from the
14:48
conversations, connections, and
14:50
relationships that happen between
14:52
destinations. His stories explore
14:54
attraction, independence, vulnerability,
14:56
and the strange, often beautiful
14:58
uncertainty of modern relationships,
15:01
between airports, hotel rooms, and
15:03
unfamiliar cities. Michelle has learned
15:05
that the most memorable journeys are not
15:07
always the ones that take you somewhere
15:10
new. That's good. But I also want to add
15:13
that you can find
15:16
um ad about finding
15:21
Michelle
15:24
Pinson on
15:27
Instagram, Tik Tok,
15:30
Facebook
15:33
at Michelle Pinson. So here's the place
15:36
to say that actually the character
15:38
really exist and you can uh you can
15:41
follow him on social media. Here we go.
15:44
Oh, it can also generate from profile.
15:47
Let's just try to generate from profile
15:49
and see the difference between what was
15:51
generated by Chajibility which knows my
15:53
context and what was generated generated
15:55
by booknova which does not know me. So
15:58
Michelle Pinsson is a storyteller
16:00
fascinated by the quiet. Okay. Uh
16:04
yeah, actually this has nothing really
16:06
to do with me. It's very generic, but if
16:09
you don't have a background, your own
16:11
background as a as an author, you can
16:14
use this autogeneration. It's pretty
16:16
good, but it doesn't have enough context
16:19
in my case because I have real context.
16:22
And here we have a live preview of the
16:24
copyright page.
16:26
All right, we can also use a custom
16:29
copyright copyright page will not do
16:31
that here. The standard one is fine and
16:36
it mentions that we did use generative
16:38
AI tools. All right, it is now ready to
16:43
generate the book. So the content has
16:45
been created and we did the last step
16:48
which was to format our book. We can now
16:50
generate the files and um once these uh
16:55
files will have been generated so a PDF
16:58
uh neub and the docx we can download
17:00
them and use them anywhere we want and
17:04
here we go. So it starts at the front
17:06
matter with no cover page because Amazon
17:08
prints the cover separately and we
17:10
mentioned that we want to upload on
17:13
Amazon. Uh so uh if we need a copy with
17:17
with the cover on it u the EUB and DOX
17:22
downloads both include the cover. All
17:25
right. So here we have our book. I will
17:27
publish in another video a voice over
17:29
reading the uh book. But here we have
17:32
our full book generated by AI. Uh it is
17:37
in total let's see how many pages it is.
17:40
So many pages. So here we go at the last
17:42
page which is the about page. It has 138
17:47
pages and we can download the book in
17:50
various uh various formats. So to upload
17:55
on Amazon here we have the file for
17:58
Amazon. Let's just download the PDF
18:02
uh just to have a look. I think the PDF
18:07
will maybe not have the cover. No, the
18:10
docx should have the cover. Anyway, we
18:12
can we can download everything.
18:15
So, let's see here. We have the PDF
18:18
file. Now, PDF file is the one we are
18:20
seeing right here. But the doc x, so the
18:24
word file should have the cover. Let's
18:28
just double check that.
18:32
Let's see. Takes always some time. And
18:34
here we go. Yes, the doc x file has the
18:37
cover. Here's my first romance book
18:40
based on my life
18:42
um created. Wow. Okay. It's amazing.
18:47
It's such a milestone. I I'm so ecstatic
18:50
to have my own first book generated. So,
18:55
let's close it. The book has been
18:57
generated. Uh and the next step will be
19:00
to publish on Amazon uh or elsewhere and
19:03
to create a sales page. Um, so thanks
19:06
for watching and try BookNova. YB the
19:09
digital slashbook.
