OpenArt AI Video: Reusing Assets to Finish a Book Trailer

Oct 5, 2026
Run out of AI video credits? Here’s how to keep building your project: https://yb.digital/art In this video, I use OpenArt Director Mode to build an AI trailer for my book. The Director Mode project already contains the complete script, storyboard, characters, locations, and other visual assets—but generating all eight planned segments would cost around 5,800 credits, while I only have about 3,000 credits remaining. Instead of stopping, I reuse everything already generated by Director Mode and create the trailer scene by scene. I show how to copy character cards and locations directly into the video generation workflow, reference the correct characters for each scene, switch locations between Dubai, Bali, and Vienna, and choose different AI video models depending on cost, duration, resolution, and reference support. I also test PixVerse C1 and other models before discovering that the first result does not preserve the characters correctly. This demonstrates one of the practical challenges of AI video generation: finding a model that gives you the right balance between quality, references, duration, audio, and credits. The key workflow is simple: reuse your existing Director Mode assets, generate each scene separately, and then combine the resulting clips in a video editor. You don't necessarily need to restart a project just because you don't have enough credits to generate everything at once.
