OpenArt AI can turn a script and a few reference images into a complete micro drama — including multiple scenes, characters, dialogue and audio. This time, I take that story into video production and see whether AI can actually turn it into a 30-second vertical micro drama. I use a few reference photos of myself as the character and provide the AI with the complete script, story context, tone and visual style. For the first test, I use Seedance 2.5 and ask it to generate a 30-second video with: ✅ Multiple reference images ✅ Character consistency ✅ Dialogue and audio ✅ 9:16 vertical format ✅ 30-second duration ✅ A complete romantic comedy-drama story The result is surprisingly impressive. Instead of generating one simple shot, the AI creates a sequence of different scenes and shots, adds additional characters and builds the story around the context I provided. I then run another test with Veo 3.0 using the same reference images and a similar approach so we can compare the results. The two models take several minutes to generate their videos, and the amount of credits required can vary significantly depending on the model, duration, resolution and other settings. In my test, Seedance 2.5 produced the stronger micro drama, with surprisingly good audio and a much more complete feeling of an actual short film. This is still an AI-generated experiment — not a serious movie production — but the ability to go from a few photos and a script to a complete short drama is pretty remarkable. And this is only one way to use these AI video models.
